Lindby Custom Inc: Fat Bar

One of Drag Specialties’ leading brands just got larger — literally. Lindby Customs, makers of the world-famous Linbar, among other highway bars, now offers the new Magnumbar, a stout highway bar/engine guard that’s based on 1 ½ inch diameter tubing. The new Magnumbar is intended for select Harley- Davidson models, and it shares the same basic shape as the popular Linbar, which helped propel Lindby Customs to become one of the top highway bar/engine guard companies in America. But, while the Linbar uses 1 ¼ inch tubing (as do Lindby Customs’ Unibar, Multibar and Twinbar), the Magnumbar’s 1 ½ inch tubing gives it a stouter, fuller look, making this the “fattest” bar in the lineup. Indeed, fat is where it’s at for Harley riders in America, where wide tires, expanded fender panels, large-diameter exhaust head pipes, even wider-diameter frame tubing, has become popular among custom-bike builders. “Our new Magnumbar gives even stock Harley-
Davidson bikes a beefier look,” says Lindby Customs’ Per Lindby. And to complement the Magnumbar’s stout appearance, Lindby replaced the iconic O-rings normally found on the Linbar with five flat, wider bands of rubbers where the rider places his boots. The five bands on each side not only give the Magnumbar a more proportionate appearance, they also offer larger contact patches so that the rider’s boots are less apt to slip. Like the popular Linbar, the Magnumbar comes with a choice of two finishes — chrome plating or black powder coating. And, as with all Lindby Customs highway bars, the Magnumbar is made of heavy-duty .120 inch thick steel tubing. Currently, Lindby offers the Magnumbar for all FLH and FLT touring models (1997-2013), and for two Softail models — the ever-popular Fat Boy and the timeless Heritage Classic (2000-2013). Magnumbars are currently in stock at our MxMegastore warehouse, so they’re ready to be shipped to you!
