Woody's

Under the leadership of President Robert Musselman and Vice President Mark Musselman, International Engineering & Manufacturing is working to diversify its business. These two second generation family members are also expanding it into a multi-product manufacturer of traction enhancement for vehicles.

IEM’s private label traction devices are trademarked under the name Woody’s. Woody’s is the name of preference for motorsports accessory distributors, off-road vehicles, snowmobile & track manufacturers, snowmobilers and sportsmen who want only the best traction performance along with safety.

IEM which is based in Hope, Michigan is famous as the industry’s premier producer of safety traction products for rubber tracks. Early in mid-sixties the snowmobile experienced incredible growth specifically in racing. James Musselman and his partner Woody Kozlow saw that as an opportunity to future success. At that time racers used three corner files attached to ski bottoms in order to carve ice to maintain control of their snowmobile. James and Woody used their knowledge of carbide wear in this regard. They developed a process to attach the carbide to a metal base and through this process the first pair of carbide runner was invented and they handed it over to the local racer, Dana Wiltse. The runner was a breakthrough for snowmobile racing and soon all racers throughout the region wanted a pair of “Woody’s” runners. Later they developed a carbide tipped device to install in the track and that was also a handling breakthrough for the snowmobile racers. Within a short period of time installing carbide tipped traction devices became an essential part for racing and the norm for snowmobile riders.

The Musselman family transformed Woody’s from a part-time local business to an international corporation. Behind their incredible expansion perseverance, innovation, hard work and unwavering commitment to quality are the key issues. Now the trademark name Woody’s is the other name of quality in snowmobile accessories.

From this beginning, the Musselman family transformed Woody's from a part-time business to an international corporation. They credit their expansion to perseverance, hard work, innovation and an unwavering commitment to quality products. The trademarked name Woody's is synonymous with quality in snowmobile accessories and is as recognizable as the snowmobile Original Equipment Manufacturers wherever people ride snowmobiles.
